For interior cleaning and rinsing of tanks and containers, the Duisburg-based company WOMA, specialist in ultra high-pressure technology, offers an extensive portfolio of tank interior cleaning heads. With the TankMaster SL-1500, a cleaning head suitable for working pressures of up to 1500 bar supplements the range.

The high-performance water jet tool is used to dissolve stubborn dirt and deposits, especially for container cleaning in the chemical industry. Different rotors and extension arms allow containers of different sizes to be cleaned. Thanks to its low weight of just 7.8 kg, the head is easily transportable; for entry into the container, an opening of just 125 mm in diameter is sufficient for the smallest version.

Tried-and-tested advantages of the TankMaster portfolio

The new TankMaster SL-1500 supplements the range with a lightweight, easy-to-use model. The tried-and-tested characteristics of the current cleaning heads remain relevant: long service lives with the use of tried-and-tested sealing systems and hardened cogs, easily adjustable eddy current brake for speed control and long-lasting stainless steel components.

The technology of tank interior cleaning

The tank cleaning heads are inserted into the container while hanging freely on the high-pressure hose. Alternatively, the head can be fixed in position in the tank using a stabilisation pipe and additional devices. The recoil from the water flowing out at high pressure causes the rotors to rotate. Simultaneously, a gear drive ensures the movement of the whole head along the longitudinal axis. In order to control the water stream, the operator can also regulate the speed of the rotors and adjust to the level of dirt. The amount of work involved is reduced significantly compared to manual cleaning. Furthermore, the water tools allow areas to be cleaned which are difficult or impossible to access. The maximum water temperature is 95° C, which allows viscous dirt to be dissolved.
